What to know Just before Getting Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 was published on November 10th, 2009 and had among the most exciting launches I can even keep in mind! I did not go out for this midnight introduction, but I traveled out on roll-out day and was there 3 hours before launch during the daytime and there were undoubtedly 20+ persons lingering there. Right after a half hour to 45 minutes, I finally obtained my copy of Modern Warfare 2 for the PlayStation 3 system and off I drove to spend the remainder of my week ranking up as rapidly as I could.
So just before I begin, I just want to say that I’m an enormous fan of Call of Duty 4, but I tried to keep this review from the opinion of somebody who hasnt played any of the Call of Duty game titles or somebody who did not enjoy the previous game titles in the Call of Duty series. I would not consider myself a Call of Duty fan-boy, but I was set on obtaining Modern Warfare 2 back when Call of Duty 4 was circulated.
As most of you currently are aware of, I seldom ever spend money on video game titles that do not include some form of multi-player and usually will only spend money on video game titles for its multi-player feature, but I did actually play the complete single player campaign in Modern Warfare 2 and I have to say that I did take pleasure in it even while playing through a second time. The story was powerful, it was a little difficult to understand at times, but it tied in relatively efficiently with where the story left off in Call of Duty 4 and offered answers to a great deal of unanswered situations.
The only real point I absolutely did not like about the single player campaign in Modern Warfare 2 was that, for the most part, it had been relatively uncomplicated at the hardest difficulty setting. Now, I did not say constantly, merely because that’s without a doubt not true, there had been times where I got rather aggravated seeing as there were just so many enemies at a given time on every side and it made me really angry, but other than that, the single player campaign was relaxing and plus a refreshing new game to play through.
So far as the controller layout goes, it really is precisely the same as in Call of Duty 4 and it absolutely was fantastic for that game and is nevertheless totally flawless now. So far as Im concerned, the control structure selections in COD4 and MW2 are the most perfect layouts that have ever been set together for any video game. There are actually a couple of other layouts which you can select from and all of those control schemes are perfect as well. Some of the optional layouts take a little while to get used to, but after youre used to the new control scheme, youre unstoppable!
Now comes the portion which you all have been patiently waiting for! My thoughts relating to the multiplayer element of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2! So after putting in above 360 hours of online gaming, I feel I can give a fairly high quality overview of what it is all about. For the most part, almost everything is better balanced. The maps are laid out beautifully, and most of the perks and weapon attachments work very well. This being said, there are definitely negatives to go along with the positives. Now, do not get me completely wrong here, Im not intending to go over every thing that’s perfect in this video game, because it would take too long. Instead, Im intending to try and go over some of the major faults inside of the online element of this video game, due to the fact that I imagine this would be considerably more valuable to potential buyers and/or previous owners.
Here we go, lets get started now on the bad aspects. So far as Im concerned, 1 man army is really the only questionable perk. On its own, there is practically nothing wrong with it, and it can be very advantageous depending on your scenario, but put into use while in the hands, it may be put into use in an exceptionally troublesome way that makes anybody prefer to simply just break their controller until the pieces refrain from flying.
Next up, we have death streaks. To just be up front and sincere, getting honored for dying, in my opinion, is just inane. There really should be no need for this if the spawn process was properly thought through, which, unfortunately, it most definitely is not, but if youre using death streaks for anything but to stop the bad spawn system, then you have no excuse, you are simply a noob.
On that note, I may as well touch at the spawn method seeing as I previously opened that can of worms. With no need of jumping into an enormous rant, basically the spawn application functions nicely in most situations, but on the occasion, it performs just about as clearly as an Xbox 360 with the RROD. It doesnt help you in any way, it brings about you drastic disappointment, and it makes you wish to throw your console out the window of a 3 story or higher building. Im extremely positive that that would be pretty much all I have to say about that, simply because if youve played a reasonable number of games and game types, you know precisely what Im conversing about.
One particular other issue that functions just like that, would be the matchmaking process. The video game automatically determines what lobby it is going to put you in. This means, you could be set in a lobby that has thirteen seconds left within game and it truly is basically impossible for you to win. This absolutely upsets me to no end. There is no simpler approach to tarnish my enthusiasm to just chill and play some Modern Warfare 2 then when I fire it up and join a online game on a team which is just getting rocked. It is not fun at all, in reality, most of the time if this occurs I will simply turn the PS3 system off right then and there and do some thing different.
So far as weapons go, they’re pretty considerably well balanced now. In the beginning there was an enormous dispute about the model 1887s, but due to every one of the complainers, they got nerfed and now are about just as good as casting a rock at somebody. In terms of the other areas of the guns go, they’re all particularly powerful and in the case that you do not respond speedily, you will die free of even knowing what went down.
I feel this concludes the mini rant on the multiplayer element of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and if you need to comprehend any more in relation to it, just purchase it, because it is most certainly well worth the money.
