What to find out Just before Getting Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 was revealed on November 10th, 2009 and had among the heaviest introductions I can even bear in mind! I didnt go out for that midnight launch, but I journeyed out on launch day and was there three hours before launch in the day time and there were already 20+ folks lingering there. Right after a half hour to forty-five minutes, I finally bought my copy of Modern Warfare 2 for the PlayStation 3 system and off I drove to invest the rest of my week ranking up as rapidly as I could.
So just before I begin, I just want to express that I am an enormous fan of Call of Duty 4, but I tried to keep this review from the viewpoint of a person who has not played any of the Call of Duty game titles or a person who didnt really like the earlier game titles from the Call of Duty series. I wouldnt consider myself a Call of Duty fan-boy, but I was determined on shopping for Modern Warfare 2 back when Call of Duty 4 was available.
As the majority of you undoubtedly acknowledge, I rarely ever invest in video games that really don’t contain some form of multi-player and often will only invest in video games for its multi-player factor, but I did definitely play the whole single player campaign in Modern Warfare 2 and I must say that I did appreciate it even while playing through a second time. The story was secure, it absolutely was somewhat complex at times, but it tied in fairly nicely with exactly where the story left off in Call of Duty 4 and gave resolutions to quite a few unanswered situations.
The only real factor I surely didnt like about the single player campaign in Modern Warfare 2 was that, for the most part, it was fairly painless at the hardest difficulty setting. Now, I didnt say always, because of the fact that that’s surely not true, there were times in which I got quite aggravated considering that there were just so large a number of enemies at a given time on each side and it made me exceptionally irritated, but other than that, the single player campaign was realistic and a refreshing new game to play through.
As far as the controller layout goes, it really is exactly the exact same as in Call of Duty 4 and it most definitely was perfect for that game and is still absolutely faultless now. As far as Im concerned, the control scheme selections in COD4 and MW2 are the most perfect layouts that have ever been put together for any game. There are a couple of other layouts which you can select from and you’ll find that all of those control schemes are perfect as well. Some of the optional layouts take a little while to get used to, but once you are used to the new control scheme, you are unstoppable!
Now comes the aspect which you all have been waiting for! My feedback on the multiplayer element of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2! So after putting in more than 360 hours of online performance, I feel I can give a rather decent overview of what it is all about. For the most part, every thing is much better balanced. The maps are laid out nicely, and most of the perks and weapon attachments work fantastic. This being said, there are definitely negatives to go along with the positives. Now, do not get me completely wrong here, Im not going to go over everything that’s correct in this game, because it would take too long. Instead, Im going to try and go over some of the major flaws inside of the online element of this game, because of the fact that I assume this would be alot more valuable to potential buyers and/or earlier owners.
Here we go, lets get started now on the bad elements. As far as Im concerned, 1 man army is the only questionable perk. On its own, there’s nothing wrong with it, and it can be fairly beneficial depending on your circumstance, but put into use within the hands, it may be put into use in an extremely aggravating way that makes anyone just want to simply just smash their controller until the pieces halt soaring.
Next up, we have death streaks. To just be straightforward and honest, getting honored for dying, in my opinion, is just ridiculous. There should really be no need for this if the spawn function was efficiently thought through, which, unfortunately, it most certainly just isn’t, but if you are utilizing death streaks for anything but to stop the terrible spawn structure, then you have no excuse, you are simply a noob.
On that note, I might as well touch over the spawn process being as I already opened that can of worms. Without starting into an enormous rant, essentially the spawn procedure performs effectively in most circumstances, but on the occasion, it functions just about as effectively as an Xbox 360 with the RROD. It does not help you by any means, it may result in you very bad annoyances, and it can make you want to chuck your console out the window of a 3 story or higher structure. Im fairly sure that that may be pretty much all I’ve to express about that, given that if youve played a suitable quantity of online games and game varieties, you know exactly what Im speaking about.
Just one other thing that performs just like that, would be the matchmaking structure. The game automatically chooses what room it is going to put you in. This means, you can be put in a room that has 10 seconds left within game and it’s honestly unachievable for you to win. This truly upsets me to no end. There is no easier strategy to ruin my hype to just relieve stress and play some Modern Warfare 2 then when I start it up and enter a online game on a team which is just getting it handed to them. Its not fun at all, in fact, most of the time if this occurs I will undoubtedly turn the Playstation 3 off right then and there and do anything other than that.
As far as weapons go, they’re very considerably balanced now. In the start there was an enormous dispute about the model 1887s, but thanks to all of the whiners, they got nerfed and now are about just as beneficial as casting a rock at somebody. As far as the duration of the guns go, they’re all quite effective and if you really don’t react instantly, you will die free of even understanding what went down.
I feel this concludes the small argument over the multiplayer part of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and if you would like to learn any more in relation to it, just spend money on it, because it is most unquestionably deserving of the revenue.
