Details to find out Ahead of Shopping for Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 was for sale on November 10th, 2009 and had one of the largest unveilings I can even keep in mind! I did not go out in the midnight introduction, but I journeyed out on kick off day and was there three hours ahead of launch during the daytime and there were currently 20+ individuals holding out there. Right after a half hour to forty-five minutes, I finally got hold of my copy of Modern Warfare 2 for the PlayStation 3 system and off I went to spend the duration of my week ranking up as quick as I could.
So just before I get started, I just want to say that I am a huge fan of Call of Duty 4, but I tried to keep this review from the point of view of an individual who hasnt played any of the Call of Duty game titles or an individual who did not appreciate the past game titles from the Call of Duty series. I would not consider myself a Call of Duty fan-boy, but I was planning on buying Modern Warfare 2 back when Call of Duty 4 was released.
As most of you undoubtedly do know, I scarcely actually spend money on video game titles that dont come with some form of multi-player and often will only spend money on video game titles for its multi-player factor, but I did actually play the total single player campaign in Modern Warfare 2 and I should say that I did enjoy it even whilst playing through a second time. The story was strong, it was a little complex at times, but it tied in pretty nicely with exactly where the story left off in Call of Duty 4 and gave solutions to a multitude of unanswered issues.
The only issue I absolutely did not like regarding the single player campaign in Modern Warfare 2 was that, for the most part, it had been pretty effortless for the hardest difficulty setting. Now, I did not say constantly, due to the fact that that is unquestionably not true, there had been times where I got quite aggravated for the reason that there were just so large a number of enemies at once on each side and it made me very angry, but other than that, the single player campaign was pleasant and a refreshing new video game to play through.
As far as the controller layout goes, it’s actually precisely the exact same as in Call of Duty 4 and it most definitely was great for that video game and is nevertheless completely perfect now. As far as Im concerned, the control scheme choices in COD4 and MW2 are the very best layouts that have ever been placed together for any online game. You’ll find a few other control layouts which you can select from and all of those layouts are excellent as well. Some of the optional layouts take a little while to get accustomed to, but when youre accustomed to the new control scheme, youre unstoppable!
Now comes the section which you all have been waiting for! My feedback relating to the multiplayer part of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2! So after putting in over 360 hours of online performance, I feel I can give a quite good overview of what its all about. For the most part, almost everything is far better balanced. The maps are laid out suitably, and most of the perks and weapon attachments work okay. This being said, there are always negatives to go along with the positives. Now, do not get me wrong here, Im not going to go over every thing that is suitable in this online game, because it would take too long. Instead, Im going to try and go over some of the main imperfections contained in the online part of this online game, mainly because I assume this would be a whole lot more interesting to potential buyers and/or past owners.
Here we go, lets get started now on the bad elements. As far as Im concerned, 1 man army is the only questionable perk. On its own, there’s practically nothing wrong with it, and it can be quite useful based on your predicament, but used in the hands, it can be utilized in an tremendously demoralizing way that will make anybody just want to just beat their controller until the pieces stop soaring.
Next up, we have death streaks. To just be straightforward and honest, being honored for dying, in my opinion, is just ridiculous. There should really be no need for this if the spawn procedure was well thought through, which, sadly, it most definitely is not, but if youre utilizing death streaks for anything but to stop the terrible spawn platform, then you’ve no excuse, you are a noob.
On that note, I might as well touch at the spawn process seeing as I previously opened that can of worms. With out getting into a huge rant, essentially the spawn process operates well in most cases, but on the occasion, it operates just about as well as an Xbox 360 with the RROD. It does not help you whatsoever, it induces you violent stress, and it can make you wish to drop your console out the windowpane of a three story or higher structure. Im very positive that that may be pretty much all I’ve to say about that, given that if youve played a respectable quantity of online games and game varieties, you know precisely what Im articulating about.
One other thing that operates just like that, would be the matchmaking procedure. The online game automatically selects what room its going to place you in. This means, you can be placed inside a room that has fourteen seconds left in your game and it is virtually hopeless for you to win. This basically upsets me to no end. There is no simpler method to devastate my delight to just loosen up and play some Modern Warfare 2 then when I fire it up and join a match on a team that’s just getting raped. Its not fun in any respect, in fact, most of the time if this occurs I will undoubtedly switch the PlayStation 3 off right then and there and do anything else instead.
As far as weapons go, they’re very considerably well balanced now. At the beginning there was a huge argument regarding the model 1887s, but thanks to all of the whiners, they got nerfed and now are about just as effective as casting a rock at another person. So far as the duration of the guns go, they’re all quite powerful and in the case that you dont respond rapidly, you’ll die without even knowing what took place.
I feel this concludes the rant about the multiplayer aspect of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and if you want to fully understand any extra in regards to it, just purchase it, because it is most certainly deserving of the revenue.
