It is very common for someone to think that they weren’t meant to be a singer – they just “weren’t born with it.” There is a broad group of people to blame for this myth: the unlearned.

For someone to say “singing is something you have to be born with” is like saying “swimming skills are something you have to be born with.” Tell Babe Ruth that it is something you have to be born with. You might have heard about the story. Michael Jordan got Ignored from his high school basketball game team.

He didn’t take that very well so he set about rehearsing all day every single day. Then he made the squad. Then he gained a place on one of the most honorable college basketball game squads in the nation. Then he was drafted to the NBA and went down in history as one of the greatest to ever play the game. Basketball skills aren’t something you have to be born with, and neither are musical skills.

Anybody can learn how to sing.

There is something else to blame: the pop culture’s hit TV show “American Idol.” The show is DESIGNED for entertainment, it is a BUSINESS. How do they get money? They trade all of the raw singers to America as a form of entertainment. Also picture that those vocalists are specifically picked out as they are the worst case scenarios of singers who don’t know how to use their articulation and have no control over pitch. That can be changed.

Back to the ignorant. Masses who don’t recognise anything about singing will say that all of those shoddy American Idol auditioners are tone deaf. If you reckon they are all tone deaf then I am grateful you are reading this. They aren’t tone deaf. They just don’t recognise how to use their voice. Tone deafness is really very rare. The serious problem is a lack of vocal cognition. I was in the comparable spot as those “tone deaf singers.” Anybody who witnessed me sing would right away point the finger and pronounce me as “tone deaf.” I am NOT tone deaf. When I met Perry, he took me through some pitch rating practises and it was clear that I am not tone deaf at all – I just didn’t know how to use my voice. I could hear the tonal pattern and pitches dead clear IN MY HEAD, but as soon as I tried to render it into vocals, I didn’t know HOW to do it – therefore it APPEARED as if I was tone deaf.

So the next time you see a singer that you would label as “tone deaf,” think again. They in all probability just don’t know how to use their voice.

The Road Warrior, known as Mad Max 2 in Australia, is, simply put, one of the all time classics. It is, without a doubt, one of the greatest action stories ever put to film and, perhaps, one of the all time great films, period. It is sort of the action film answer to Citizen Kane or Casablanca. The movie is well crafted and the story well told. Even with the breakneck pace and chaos within the story, the movie remains clear and coherent the whole way through, and is one of the all time must download movies.

There aren’t a lot of movies that work so well on so many levels, much less action films, which are typically used just to turn over a quick and easy profit at the box office. The movie is just, very, very strong on all possible levels. It’s exciting, fun and has some moments of great humor, drama and humanity.

You know all about the movie, but it’s worth a recap: The film takes place in a post apocalyptic Australian Outback where gas and water are both scarce. Mel Gibson plays Mad Max Rockatansky. He was a cop before the world fell apart, and now simply drifts from here to there, hoping to collect enough gas, food and water to stay alive from day to day.

Throughout the previous film, Max lost touch with his humanity, becoming just as cruel and ruthless as the villains he pursued. This time, he needs to take a chance at redemption and at getting in touch with his humanity once more by getting involved once more with society, or what’s left of it.

The movie is really just one big chase scene, only stopping here and there just long enough to give the audience a moment to catch their breath. While a lesser movie might have been made boring by all this action, in The Road Warrior, the action and the story are one and the same. Character and plot are both developed through action, not like the modern action flick where the fights and chases only get in the way of the story.

The movie is really all about the nature of heroism. It gets into the Joseph Campbellian concepts of mythology and comes out with a legendary story that many Australians consider “The Australian Star Wars” in terms of cultural importance. It is, of course, one of the national treasures of the Australian cinema, and one of the most successful films ever to come from that country.

The movie is, really, a classic western in a new setting. It belongs on the same shelf as Stagecoach as one of the all time great examples of how the classic John Ford and Howard Hawks westerns developed their own stories.

The movie is loud, spectacular, full of crazy characters and stunts, and, perhaps, one of the ten greatest films ever made, depending on how you evaluate films on a personal level. At the very least, it is one of the most well crafted and well told action stories of all time, and certainly belongs on your download queue if you haven’t seen it yet.

You should know what you are getting yourself into. New Movie Trailer Downloads Working with seasoned veteran Michael Caine, the two surprisingly combine to create a hilarious onscreen comedy duo. He sets out to meet the author with the determination to alter his fate.

The Last Dragon was actually a film produced by Motown Records back in the eighties. It seems that one of the primary concerns of the film might actually have been to promote new talent, particularly that one song, “Oh Sheila”, you know, “Let me love you til the morning comes”. But that doesn’t change the fact that it’s really a fun, exciting Kung Fu movie, and one of the must download movies of the eighties.

The movie follows a young martial artist nicknamed Bruce Leroy as he teaches the kids at the local dojo and works at his father’s pizza parlor, delivering pies on foot throughout Harlem. He also tries to maintain his composure while dealing with hsi rival, Sho’Nuff, the Shogun of Harlem… Yep. Sho’Nuff… He’s the Shogun of Harlem, you see.

Sho’Nuff is really one of the all time great screen villains. Everything about him is just… Wild, ridiculous and hilarious. He walks around with a crew of lackeys, and wherever he enters the scene, he’s preceded by a little call-and-response speech between himself and his crew, as if they were the mirror on the wall, he asks them if he is the prettiest, the meanest and the baddest, and Sho Nuff, he is. He wears shoulder pads, visor sunglasses and hakama, those baggy pants worn by samurai. For style and attitude, he’s really one of the funniest heavies of all time.

There’s a subplot that you probably… Won’t take too much interest in. See, Leroy is after the heart of this girl who produces a local music show, and there’s this sleazy promoter who’s trying to get his girlfriend’s new single played on her show. When you see the video, you’ll grimace and shudder in embarrassment just for watching it, so… It’s funny, but you find yourself wishing they’d just get back to the kung fu already!

But regardless, it is funny, and it does pay off with a big brawl scene at the end when he hires all the meanest guys in the city to attack Bruce Leroy and his students. The end result is a really great rumble scene with Leroy taking on a few dozen hilarious, wild characters before finally beating Sho’Nuff and attaining “The Glow” which is what you call it when they draw a halo of light around your body frame by frame.

There are also some really fun, corny moments along the way. At one point, Leroy tries to seek wisdom from the guy who writes the fortune cookies at the local Chinese restaurant, only to find that they’re written by a computer. Therein he finds that zen wisdom of emptiness and being.

Perhaps the movie might have been better without the relatively uninteresting subplot. After all, you just came for the kung fu, right? But nevertheless, it still remains a classic of its genre, and one of the few films to successfully spoof kung fu movies and honor them at the same time. It’s really a lot of fun, with just enough corny eighties style goofiness to make it one of the all time classic eighties comedies.

Next time you want a goofy, fun eighties flick, and you want to see a little kung fu while you’re at it, go ahead and give The Last Dragon a download.

Have you seen the latest movie lately? Everybody loves watching movies but with a tight schedule and budget, many people rarely visit their favorite movie houses anymore. Because of this, most movie enthusiasts try to keep up in different ways with the latest movies and favorite actors in the entertainment industry. Movie downloads are the most practical and cost efficient way of leisure and entertainment today.

Going out for a late night movie with your friends and family could be pretty expensive. Transportation, snacks and movie tickets cost you a lot just for a single movie. Instead of enjoying the movie, you worry about having to cut the grocery list just to keep up with your week’s budget.

The parents often want to watch one type of movie while the kids want to watch another, so do we they twice? This can turn out to be a very expensive exercise and that is not even taking into account the popcorn and other refreshments that go along with it.

Children love movies and more and more, parents are also paying full adult price for their children’s tickets. There are seldom discounted tickets for children. Add in the cost of the refreshments mentioned about and you can easily see how the cost is increased and the entire trip is even more expensive. Kids usually need an adult to accompany them so that adds further to what has already become an overpriced outing. Financially, it is a waste of money for a two hour movie experience.

The practicality and stress free pleasures movie downloads offer provide great ease to many movie goers and fan worldwide. Instead of running up to catch the last full show, one can enjoy watching the latest blockbuster hit right within the comforts of their home. You get to enjoy watching it with the whole family without costing you a single cent.

Luckily today we have the Internet and it provides us with the ability to download movies at a fraction of the cost of going to the theater. With Internet downloads you can choose any movies you like from the newest releases to old time favorites, the choice is limitless.

The best thing about this option is that once downloaded you can watch the movie over and over again and it does not cost you a cent more. This is a great feature especially for the kids as we all know they love watching their favorite movies time and time again, something that drives us adults crazy.

Movie download sites are plentiful but the only thing you need to be aware of is the difference between the legal and the illegal sites. Downloading from illegal sites can land you in a whole lot of trouble so you need to make sure you are using a legal site. The main difference between the sites is that the legal sites normally charge you a nominal fee for registration or a small fee for every download that you do. So now, thanks to movie downloads, families can watch their favorite movies, even if it means microwave popcorn!

It doesn’t matter what makes your eyes open but you would certainly prefer to wake up gently without any brute force. Popular Movie Rental If you have a slow connection you should plan your download during your free time or time away from the computer. These music juke boxes take as good care of specific wants of the demanding DJ as that of his above-mentioned special needs.

Goonies for life! If you were a child of the eighties, you certainly remember this classic. If you haven’t seen it yet, think Stand By Me meets Indiana Jones meets Pirates of the Caribbean. The end result is a thrilling, funny, exciting, and really fun adventure flick that entertains everybody of every age no matter who you are. If it’s been awhile, put it on your movie downloads queue and relive the eighties with one of the all time great family adventure films.

The movie follows, who else, The Goonies. This gang of misfits, led by Mikey Walsh, is known around the city of Astoria, Oregon for always getting into some sort of trouble. The story really kicks off when the rich folks in town decide to buy up the neighborhood to convert it into a golf course. The city of Astoria is really gorgeous, and it’s too bad that it only features prominently in the first act of the film before it gets into the cave-dwelling adventure stuff.

The Goonies take it upon themselves to save the Boon Docks. They start by getting into the attic, where Mike’s dad, a museum curator, has a bunch of old pirate stuff stashed. They find a treasure map leading them to an old restaurant on the coast. The restaurant is run by the Fratellis, a low rent crime family led by Ma Fratelli, a serious ball buster who takes a sort of Bates Motel approach to mothering her children, played by Robert Davi and Joe Pantoliano. They have to figure out how to get under the restaurant to get the treasure without alerting the Fratellis and…

Does the plot sound complicated? It actually isn’t, it’s just really fast paced. Don’t worry, you don’t have to keep all of this in mind. From moment to moment, all the booby traps, gangsters and grown ups are really doing is giving the Goonies something to run away from while they bond as friends and seek out the treasure to save their neighborhood.

The movie is really a lot of fun. What makes it work is that it’s shot in a fairly matter of fact style. It doesn’t feel like a fantasy film, really. It feels just as real as Stand By Me or any other coming of age film. The fact that it has pirate ships and all kinds of crazy stuff like that, well, that’s sort of just the background of the movie.

The film was thought to be incredibly fast paced, a little too break-neck, when it was released, but times have changed. Today, you won’t get out of a kid’s movie without seeing seven manic chase scenes, and at least one character getting dragged along an assembly line conveyor belt. The Goonies is relatively laid back in comparison to the madcap CGI films out today.

Anyways, it really is one of the quintessential eighties flicks. The style, the music, the genre, even, it’s all eighties, so at the very least, it’ll bring you back if you grew up in that decade.

It really is a classic in its own right, sort of the family film answer to Indiana Jones. If you remember it from your own childhood, now may be the time to turn your own children on to the adventures of Mikey Walsh and the rest of the Goon Squad.

An unorthodox love story, Just Like Heaven showcases Mark Ruffalos growing appeal as a leading man. Your own instrument – You can hire one, but why hire when you can purchase a student violin for around $110.00. It will be yours and you can always upgrade in the future when you improve. And most student violins come with a case, a bow, and some rosin. A good place to go looking for a student violin is southweststrings.com. They have high quality instruments for costs as good.

A Shoulder Rest – This is something every violinist uses. They make it much more comfy and straightforward to hold your violin in the proper possition. If you do not get one playing will be a pain.

A Metronome – This may aid you in keeping good timing when you practice and ensure that you are practicing the piece in the right way.

A Tuner – This will help to keep our instrument in tune . You will not be ready to play a piece correctly unless your instrument is tuned.

A Professional Teacher – Private lessons are crucial for any one looking to progress. Begin looking online, in the ads ; ask your local symphony orchestra if any of the violinists are offering lessons. Ensure you are getting what you pay for. Don’t pay someone $45 an hour if they don’t have any formal training or experience.

A Scale Book – You will want to learn and memorize your scales. They are the foundation for all music you’ll play. I would recommend the “Essentials for Strings” book. Though, your teacher will likely give you one that he would like you to buy . They will also give you a tiny list of other music books you are to purchase . They sometimes range from $6 – $20 in price and are also obligatory for learning to play the violin.

A Text Book on Music speculation – If you are serious about learning the violin you will need to understand about music idea. You violin teacher will teach you some, but to fully understand, you should go to a music shop or a book store and find a text book for music theory and read it thru and take notes.

Additional Strings – you will want to have additional strings available in case one breaks. This infrequently takes place when they wear down or when you are tuning.

Good Luck and never give up if it appears hard or discouraging initially. And last of all ; don’t compare yourself to other players. Everybody advances at their own speed.

A great way to make money with photography is to focus on events. You will be surprised about how many people want events covered and photographed.

Here\’s how you can do it

Cover only events where it is hard for people to take the pics themselves and where they will want to keep their memories frozen in film.

One idea is to go to kids sports events. Get permission from the coach to click pics for the parents watching and then start clicking away. If you turn up with a massive telephoto lens like the ones used for pro coverage of events, you will be taken seriously. Make sure you get all the kids doing great action shots and then hand out flyers to all the kids\’ parents watching with your web address. If you can grab the parents email address so you can email them the URL of you site then upload the pics to your web site that day and email everyone. If you have a simple shopping cart set up you can make money in a few hours as people pop in to see the pics and buy them for $20 or more a pop.

You can do a similar thing with weddings. Take all the regular shots as part of the wedding coverage but then get your URL printed on the wedding invites and all the other wedding materials and also get an email list of all the wedding guests, offer the couple a nice 20% discount for doing this and then take lots of extra pics at the wedding of the guests doing all the things they do. Upload all the pics to your site and send the emails. You will then make a lot more money than the 20% discount it cost you because then 20 or 30 people will be also buying your pics at $20 or more a shot straight from your site. Charging a higher price for high res pics is also a great money spinner.

The key is to just find a corner of the market where you can take the pics and then sell them easily online.

Dog shows, fashion shows, horse shows, car shows, livestock competitions, rock shows, – the list goes on. Keep your eye out in the events section of your local paper to see what is happening. Always ask for permission to shoot pics and if you need to offer the people 10% of the income if feel you need to so you can get easy access.

The musical Hairspray is set in June in the year 1962 in Baltimore, Maryland. The main character, Tracy, is an overweight young girl. The young girl dreams of becoming famous. Chances are, you have heard of Shear Madness, perhaps from a friend, or relative, and are considering attending a performance. My recommendation is that you should not attend, unless you would like to feel physical pain, and suffering from extreme laughter. However if you feel like you cheek and stomach muscles are in healthy enough shape, you may be able to endure this marathon of laughter. Opera glasses are very necessary for a performance of this type.

The play begins in a unisex hair salon; there are many types of people at coming in and out of the salon. We see many stereotypes, we see the dumb blond, homosexual hair dresser (played by John McGivern in the performance I attended.), the police officers, a high class woman, and of course the traditional red hot hunk of a man, which makes John McGivern’s character giggle with delight. In this scene we get the first bits of comedy. All of the characters seem to be sharing the most well guarded secrets with the hairdressers; much like as is found in the real world.

One thing that should be explained about Shear Madness is that much of this play is not scripted, but rather is performed in an improvisation. Much of what is discussed in the play; revolve around current events in the city and in the world. At times this improvisation is so funny that the actors themselves cannot contain their laughter, which of course makes the audience laugh harder. To ensure that you catch every slip up you will want to bring your opera glasses.

Unexpectedly during the play one of the actors will speak directly to a person or people in the audience to ask for opinions. You may even find yourself yelling out the answers. You must understand that you answer may vary from your neighbors, which adds an exciting new element to this wonderful performance. I do advise you to be careful if you find yourself in the first two or three rows, as you may become the topic of one of the jokes, remember though this is all in good humor.

Aside from the typical chit chat you find in a beauty parlor, Shear Madness’ plot turns to a murder mystery. The person who is killed is always the same; it is the owner of the parlor. The owner lived above the parlor prior to being murdered, and you will see that any of the characters potentially could have been the murderer. You will be working and trying to figure out who the murderer is; your opera glasses will help you to not miss any subtle hints.

What makes this comedy play different than any other play is that the guilty murderer is different each time. The characters in the play will talk to the audience and ask them questions. The audience actually votes and chooses who the murderer is. As odd as this may sound, it is really a very clever concept. Some people even see this play more than once and usually see a different ending.

The play Shear Madness is actually one of the longest running non musical plays being attended today. Many very popular critics such as The Wall Street Journal and the New York Times, and reviewed this play, and have written wonderful things about it. There is no doubt you too will love this play, and want to see it again and again.

You will want to bring your Opera glasses as you will not want to miss one entertaining moment of Shear Madness. Opera glasses will ensure that you will capture each and every laugh.

Giacomo Puccini is the original writer of the popular opera Madame Butterfly. If you attend this dazzling opera we recommend bringing a pair of opera glasses to enjoy it to the fullest extent. And we will tell you why.

The Madame Butterfly opera begins with a United States Naval Officer, one of the main characters named Pinkerton and a Japanese Marriage Broker named Goro. Pinkerton and Goro are looking at a little house with a gorgeous view from the top of a hill overlooking the bay. Pinkerton wants to have the house home for 999 years. His 999 years include being able to cancel the housing agreement.

The opera moves on, and we find that a wedding between Pinkerton and Butterfly is about to take place. Almost all of Butterfly’s family will be coming to attend, however her uncle will not be coming due to the fact that he is a priest.

Although Pinkerton is marrying Butterfly, his goal is to get the love of as many beautiful women as possible. This is the reason he wants to have the right to cancel the housing agreement each and every month. Soon you will want to put on your opera glasses to see the beautiful Butterfly.

Before you have the chance to see the beautiful bride Butterfly, you see the American consul who is with Pinkerton. He asks Pinkerton if he truly loves his bride to be. Pinkerton tries to say yes, but alas he cannot say for sure, but knows that he is mesmerized by her innocence, charm and beauty. He then speaks of having a true wedding with an American bride.

The Beautiful Butterfly graces the stage; Butterfly and Pinkerton are married with all of Butterfly’s family in attendance. As the celebration of the wedding continues, Butterfly’s uncle, the priest breaks in to the party and condemns Butterfly for renouncing her religion to marry Pinkerton. Butterfly’s heart breaks and finds herself in the arms of Pinkerton being comforted.

Butterfly finally gets over the condemnation and curse that she received from her uncle, and remains happily married to her beloved Pinkerton. Weeks turn to months, and she can hardly contain her joy and love for the man of her dreams, she continues to fall more deeply in love with a man that does not love her back. Pinkerton one day receives notice that he is to go on duty as a naval officer; before he leaves he gives Butterfly money, and promises to return as soon as possible.

Act three opens, to find that three years have passed. Butterfly continues to watch ships coming in hoping every day to see the ship of her beloved husband, in all this time her love for him has only increased. One day she sees the American consul who she has known from the beginning as Pinkerton’s friend coming up the path to her home. Excitedly she greets him, hoping for news from her beloved. Unbeknownst to her, Pinkerton has asked him to go to Butterfly to tell her that he has wed another woman named Kate, and would not be coming back. Full of guilt the American gives the news.

Crushed by the dishonor and betrayal she leaves the room only to come back carrying a child. She begs with the American Consul, she says that Pinkerton would not dare to leave his wife, and now child. After trying to convince him that Pinkerton would not leave her, she finally accepts the facts.

The story does not end here, but to find out the end of the story you will have to see Madame Butterfly for yourself. The costumes are sure to amaze, the music cannot be forgotten, and the story riveting. Make sure you don’t forget to bring your opera glasses so that you can fully enjoy every moment.

Opera Glasses are similar to binoculars but they are made for being able to see performances on stage. In old opera houses seats placed in balconies that were subsequently cheaper were very far away from the stage. In some they were so far away on the figures could be seen from that distance but seeing facial features, and thus part of the acting, was impossible to make out. Opera glasses would enable those people in the peanut gallery to see on stage much better to the point of seeing the facial expressions of the actors or singers. They have been popular since the 50′s.

Opera glasses are different from binoculars as they are made to be smaller and some where made not so much to look utilitarian but to look stylish. Some pop up from a flat looking case and are easily carried in women’s clutch bags or in suit coat pockets. Others fold so that they can easily be carried around without notice. There are some that mimic those of the past with a single rod attached called a lorgnette, so the glasses can be held to the eyes with only one hand. This folds up as well.

You can purchase opera glasses easily these days. You can get an inexpensive model for about $50 to $100 US dollars but there are those with better optics are much more expensive. Expensive models will be more stylish as well. Antique opera glasses are often much more expensive merely because they are antique and most often much more ornate. Try them out to make sure they give you the magnification you need and are still in operating order.

Some theaters give you the opportunity to rent opera glasses for a small fee. If you are an opera or theater enthusiast that attends regularly you may want to have a pair of your own, but if you one go once in awhile renting them is a good option. If you want to buy your own it is a good idea to try out the rented ones to see what you prefer. You may like the ones you hold one handed with the rod or you might like the ones you use like binoculars. You might find out you don’t even want to use them.

Opera glasses differ from binoculars in their optical system. Binoculars have a complicated system while opera glasses are simple based on the Galilean optical system invented by Galileo. The image seen is not nearly as sharp as with binoculars but you will still be able to see everything up on stage.

China is the major producer of opera glasses today. They usually have a 3 X magnification that is good for a concert hall or big auditorium. Some go up to 5 X but they tend to cost more. Some come equipped with a center focus and others don’t focus at all. The ones that do not focus usually have a small LED light that is placed between the barrels for the eyes. It helps you to read the program in dim lights without bothering the person in the seat next to you. People with good vision have no problem with these but if you do wear glasses or contacts you might want to look into the focusing type. There is a mechanism for the focus in the focusing opera glasses that takes the place of the light. You can use them with corrective lenses or without.

Opera Glasses usually are accompanied by a case and especially look for this in the vintage ones. Some are soft sided and others hare hard and can be lined with velvet. Some antique glasses are made of ivory or enamel with cloisonne and they may be bejewelled or framed in gold or silver. Old ones were very beautiful and elegant. Either vintage or modern glasses make a great gift for those who love the ballet, opera or theater.
